Terri Appel arrived in Hong Kong in 1997 from New York City where she worked in the health care sector with a variety of not-for-profit and for-profit organisations. Terri’s last position before relocating to Hong Kong was with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, as a Program Officer. Her professional focal areas include program research, development and evaluation; contract management; strategic evaluation and planning; operational administration and troubleshooting.
Terri is co-chair of the Generations Board, and plays an important role in providing wisdom and expertise in not-for-profit organisational and strategic leadership.
Terri has her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and her Master’s Degree from Columbia University. She is an active member of Union Church Hong Kong, where she is a Deacon, Head of the Prayer Ministry and leader of a small group in her home. She is also active as a volunteer with a number of local mission organisations. She sits on the Board of Advisors for International Care Ministries. Terri is married to Nick and they have one son at University and a daughter in secondary school.
